Miksim finally completed her GNM (General Nursing and Midwifery) exams in January 2024, after several postponements by the college. Her final exam marks were excellent.
Since then she has been an intern at Kites Senior Care Services – Geriatric Centre in Bengaluru, where she looks after elderly people in residential care.
However, she has been accepted at Karnataka College of Nursing for the Post Basic BSc in Nursing. This is a two year course which on completion has the same status as a four year BSc in nursing, the alternative route to the higher nursing qualification. There are 30 admissions in the year, and she will start in the autumn.
Miksim is enjoying her internship, but is finding Bengaluru very hot compared to her home state Sikkim!
We wish her the best for the rest of her time at Kites.
