We want to thank the staff at Ahava, especially Betsy, for the help and advice during our stay. Also the Headmaster’s Secretary for organising interviews with pupils and staff at very short notice, because of the re-arrangements we had to make.

Now on 11 October we faced the long trip back to UK. Firstly by jeep to Bagdogra, then a flight from Bagdogra to Delhi with an overnight at the hotel located in terminal 3, and finally the intercontinental BA flight the following day.

We arrived home at 9 pm UK time, very tired because of the time difference, but fulfilled by a worthwhile trip and thankful to everyone who had made it possible, especially given the re-arrangements necessary because of the Sikkim floods. Our thoughts are with everyone affected.

The image is of the Hindu Kush viewed from our flight back to London.

CHANGE A LIFE TODAY

The Children of Sikkim exists to support the education of disadvantaged children from Sikkim, in the Himalaya, NE India.

We are a UK registered charity which helps such children to be educated in Sikkim and elsewhere in India, from primary school through to college or university.

We give a young person continuity of support so as to allow them to achieve their potential.
