Paul Thomson is a keen cyclist and has set himself the challenge of completing two gruelling cycling events in France, one in the Ariége, and one which covers a stage of the Tour de France 2017. He is also very supportive of the Children of Sikkim, so much so that he is a trustee. He has set up a fundraising page for us on TotalGiving. The Ariégeoise takes place on the 24 June and the Etape du Tour on the 16 July. Both are truly fearsome:
The Ariégeoise covers 160 km, climbing up four peaks, with an elevation change from 400 to 1400 metres. Here is the route.
The Etape du Tour is in the French Alps, covering 181 km,. The last section climbs to 2300m at Izoard, with an average gradient steeper than 9%. More details are here.
We, his fellow trustees, are in awe of his determination. Please support him!

CHANGE A LIFE TODAY
The Children of Sikkim exists to support the education of disadvantaged children from Sikkim, in the Himalaya, NE India.
We are a UK registered charity which helps such children to be educated in Sikkim and elsewhere in India, from primary school through to college or university.
We give a young person continuity of support so as to allow them to achieve their potential.
