In March 2024, Phurba’s last act at Dr Graham’s Homes was to sit the ISC test (Indian School Certificate).

This is very important because how well a student does determines whether they can go to University or College, and what kind of course they can try for.

With a good ISC mark in the sciences, Phurba decided to apply for a BSc in Forensic Science. The next step then was to sit an online test – AIFSET (All India Forensic Science Entrance Test). His result was good enough for acceptance at RR Institutions Forensic Science in Bengaluru.

So as with other young people leaving Dr Graham’s he has gone through a steep learning curve, having to act independently, manage a bank account and budget, organise travel out of Sikkim and find somewhere to live.

He has achieved this very well, and we wish him the best of luck now he has started his university career.
